ABOUT ME

I adore small towns. Most of my life was spent in Breaux Bridge Louisiana, Crawfish Capital of the World. Small town Louisiana provided not only community but also a rich culture of food, fun and festivals. From Boat parades, to dance halls, to Mardi Gras there was always an event where the community joined together to eat, dance, and celebrate.

I also adore romance novels. Since my late teens I've been reading romance to escape my daily stress. The HEA, tropes, and mini-tropes just make me smile. Life is too short to be miserable and romance novels always make me happy in the end. My favorite romance writers are the three faces of Jayne Ann Krentz, Jennifer Crusie, Julia Quinn, and Lauren Dane.

After I retired I decided I could meld these two loves by writing romance novels about my home, Louisiana, and my experiences there. Since I now live abroad, this gives me a chance to reconnect and remember our way of life. Also, you will see in my writing that I miss the food and often mention restaurants. Most of the restaurants and food in my work are not fictional places, although some of them have closed. Go eat there…you will appreciate their food.
